Leguruki Well

With donor monies, we rehabilitated an unused well located in the village of Leguruki. Upon pump testing, we found the well yielded sufficient volumes of high quality clean water to supply three nearby villages. The well is 100 feet deep, and the water proved to be drinkable at the time (2011). The Barry A. Murphy Fund re-drilled the borehole and installed a new casing, a solar-driven pump and solar panels. The holding tank was completely rebuilt, and a security fence was installed. The well began supplying water in November of 2011.
